The Parent Company within the Worldwide group is A&J Enterprise Co Ltd, Based in Taichung, Taiwan. Originally started in the 1980’s as a trading company, opened its first Assembly Factory in Taiwan in 1996, from there the group expanded and went from strength to strength, the second Factory - A&J Europe Ltd, was opened in Wales in the UK in 2000. In 2003 Came High Ride Bicycle in Vietnam and produced close to 700,000 Bicycles a year in 2004 and 2005, mostly destined for the European market.
In 2006 A&J opened their biggest Factory yet, Atlantic cycles in Cambodia, this Factory was purpose built in a new Export processing zone, some 20 minutes from the Vietnam Border, it Boasts 3 production lines, 700+ workers, a state of the art wet-paint plant, 2 Alloy and 1 steel frame welding lines, and an Alloy Rim making department, all Sub assembly work is carried out inside and QC is managed by Taiwanese and China staff, who also take care of the training for the Cambodian workers. |

COMPANY DIRECTION
Over the past 10 years of at first, Assembly and latterly full Manufacturing, the company has improved its quality and finishing techniques to a level second to none, all of our Customers have recognized and experienced first hand the high levels of assembly, painting, packaging and especially stringent Quality Control. As a result the Company has positioned itself to Manufacture Middle to High End Products. We also produce many different styles of Bikes (see product pages) from High end Childrens bikes, BMX, ATB, MTB, TREKKING, RACE, TOURING, FOLDING, TANDEM. We have FOB prices which range from $60 up to $3000. In our product section you will find examples of what we can and for some people DO make, but most of our production is taken up with Customers own designs of Bikes.
COMPANY STRUCTURE
The Ownership of the Company, and the Factory departmental manager’s are Taiwanese, they are supported by China staff of around 40 who are assistant managers and supervisors, they also take care of training the Cambodian staff, Cambodians are selected carefully to progress to Assistants themselves and can and do progress all the way up the ladder with Companies full encouragement and support.
ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES
We undertake to protect the environment under both local law and we endeavour to protect the environment of our customers. All the factory equipment is up to required local standard and maintained for safety and efficiency on a regular basis. We recycle wherever possible, more details are available in the Company Handbook available on request.
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS.
We take great care and interest in the welfare of our work force and never use forced labour or instruct workers to undertake dangerous tasks, our minimum age for workers is 18 years old, workers age is verified by I.D. card and verification is documented, we do not discriminate by sex, religion or colour. Workers are employed under terms of government contract and wages are paid at local legal levels in local currency by cash and there are no compulsory deductions, normal working hours are 48 hours per week, maximum overtime per week is 10 hours, workers are free to join any worker related association (trade union) and have the right to partake in collective bargaining. |
